Digital signage features for every screen you run

CompleteVantage covers the whole job: pairing screens, making content, scheduling it in each location's local time, showing live dashboards and room calendars, and knowing that every screen is still working. Here is everything it does, grouped by the job it helps with.

Screens and content

Get a screen paired and put something good on it.

Screens and devices

Pair a TV with a six-character code, see every screen live and fix problems without a site visit.

  • Pair with a code. The TV shows a six-character code. Type it into the admin and the screen is yours, no cables or laptops needed.
  • Live status for each screen. See at a glance which screens are live, not responding, offline or switched off by their display hours.
  • Fix it remotely. Take a screenshot, reload, restart the app or reboot the box without sending anyone to the screen.
  • Updates you control. Roll a new Android app version to a pilot group first, then release it to everyone during a quiet install window.

Content and playlists

Upload images, video, PDFs and slides, add web pages and streams, and play them in timed playlists.

  • Most formats, no rework. Images, video, PDF and PowerPoint upload as they are. Slides and pages are converted for you.
  • Live pages and streams. Show web pages, HTML snippets, YouTube videos and HLS live streams alongside your files.
  • Playlists in minutes. Drag items into order, set how long each one shows and pick a transition.
  • Content that expires. Give any item a show-from and show-until date and it appears and disappears on time, even offline.

Designer and templates

Start from a designed template or build your own layout, previewed exactly as the TV will show it.

  • Preview with the real player. The design canvas is the actual screen player drawing your unsaved layout, not an approximation.
  • Templates in your brand. Every template picks up your logos, colors and fonts from the brand kit.
  • Live widgets. Clocks, weather, tickers, countdowns, calendars, menus and QR codes update on screen by themselves.
  • Landscape and portrait. Templates for wide lobby TVs and tall door panels or totems.

Brand kit

Set your logos, colors and fonts once, and every template and screen follows them.

  • Set it once. Two logos, five colors, a heading font and a body font, all on one page.
  • Templates follow the brand. Every built-in template previews and plays in your colors, fonts and logo.
  • One change restyles everything. Update a color and every screen that uses it picks up the new look.
  • Fonts that work offline. Brand fonts are served with the player and cached on the screen, not loaded from a font service.

When and where it plays

Decide what each screen shows and when, in its own local time, online or not.

Scheduling

Plan what plays by day, time and place, and let each screen follow its own local clock.

  • Local time, every screen. The Chicago lobby switches at 11:30 Chicago time and the Paris lobby at 11:30 Paris time, from one schedule.
  • Works offline. Schedules are stored on the screen and evaluated there, so a dropped connection doesn't stop a switch.
  • Clear priorities. Three priority levels plus a simple tie-break rule decide what wins when schedules overlap.
  • See the week. A week view shows what is scheduled when, so gaps and clashes are easy to spot.

Emergency broadcasts

Take over every screen, a building or one TV with an urgent message in about 30 seconds.

  • Fast takeover. Screens pick up a broadcast on their next check-in, within 30 seconds.
  • Overrides everything. A broadcast wins over every schedule, playlist and default content until it ends.
  • Aim it precisely. Send to all screens, one group such as a single building, or one screen.
  • Hard to miss. A red banner across the admin shows a broadcast is live, with an End button right there.

Offline playback

Screens keep playing, and keep following their schedules, when the internet or the server is down.

  • All media stored on the screen. Images, video, slides and fonts are cached on the device and played from there.
  • Starts up without a server. An Android screen that reboots during an outage starts and plays from its cache.
  • Schedules run on the screen. Schedules and content dates are decided by the player in its own time zone, not by the server.
  • Plays counted offline. Plays are kept on the device and uploaded when the connection returns.

Live information

Screens that show what is happening now, not last week's slides.

Dashboards

Show live web dashboards and KPI reports on TVs, with access keys kept out of sight.

  • Keys stay secret. Access keys added as URL parameters or HTTP headers are masked after saving and sent only to screens.
  • Not blocked by frame rules. On Android, dashboards open in a native view, so pages that refuse to be framed still display.
  • Always current. Reload every minute, 5, 15 or 60 minutes so the numbers on the wall match the numbers on the desk.
  • Readable across a room. Zoom small dashboards up to 200% and wrap them in a branded frame with a clock and a ticker.

Meeting rooms

Show who has a room, until when and what is next, straight from the calendar you already use.

  • Uses the calendar you have. Works with the iCal (ICS) link that Outlook, Microsoft 365 and Google Calendar can publish for a room or team.
  • Link stays on the server. The server fetches the calendar. Screens receive the events only, never the calendar link itself.
  • Recurring meetings done right. Weekly stand-ups, monthly reviews, cancelled occurrences and moved meetings all show on the right day and time.
  • Private stays private. Events marked private show as "Busy", so a room door never gives away a confidential meeting title.

Running the network

Know every screen is working, prove what played, and control who changes what.

Monitoring and alerts

Know which screens are live, see what they show right now, and get told when one goes dark.

  • Live status for every screen. Each screen is shown as live, not responding, offline or display off, with its local time and last screenshot.
  • See the screen from your desk. Live view streams a fresh screenshot every few seconds, so you can check a screen in another city without a site visit.
  • Alerts where your team works. Send alerts by email, to a Microsoft Teams or Slack channel, or to any webhook.
  • No false alarms at night. A screen that is off because of its display hours is not counted as offline.

Proof of play

See what played, where and for how long, and export every play to CSV when someone asks.

  • Three ways to look. Group plays by content, by screen or by day, for any date range, and filter to one screen or one item.
  • Every play in a CSV. Export one row per play with local time, duration, screen, location, content and why it played.
  • Offline plays still count. Screens keep their plays while the internet is down and upload them once they reconnect.
  • Counted once. Each play has its own key, so a play sent twice after a flaky connection is stored only once.

Team and approvals

Give each person the right access, and have an admin check editors' changes before they reach screens.

  • Four clear roles. Owner, admin, editor and viewer, so each person gets the access their job needs and no more.
  • Nothing goes live unchecked. With approvals on, editors' changes wait for an admin. Screens keep showing the approved version.
  • Preview with the real player. Reviewers see the proposed change exactly as a screen would draw it before they approve.
  • Separate organizations. Each client, brand or region can be its own organization with its own screens, content and people.

Also included

  • Portrait and landscape. Rotate any screen in its settings; templates come in both.
  • Display hours. Screens turn off outside opening hours and wake themselves, without counting as offline.
  • App updates you control. Upload a new Android app version, try it on a pilot group, then release it to all.
  • Tags and dates. Tag media, filter the library, and set show-from and show-until dates that hold offline.
  • YouTube and live streams. Add a video, playlist or HLS stream alongside your own files.
  • Resellers. Partners manage client organizations under their own name, logo and domain.
