A broadcast doesn't have to be text. You can put a video, an evacuation map, a layout or a playlist on screens straight away, and add a message banner across the bottom if you like.

You need: the editor, admin or owner role, and the content already in CompleteVantage.

Broadcast content

  1. Go to Broadcasts.
  2. Under Start a broadcast, open Show content instead of, or with, the message.
  3. Select Choose and pick a media item, layout or playlist.
  4. To add a banner, type it in Message and choose a Style. The banner uses the style's colour. Leave Message empty to show the content on its own.
  5. Choose where it plays under On, and how long under For.
  6. Select Broadcast now.

With content chosen, the message appears as a strip across the bottom of the screen. The content sits above it, so nothing is hidden behind the banner.

Good to know

  • Without a message, the broadcast is listed as "Broadcast" on the Broadcasts page. Add a short message if you want a clearer name in the history.
  • Web pages, YouTube videos and streams need the screen to have internet. Uploaded images, videos, PDFs and presentations play from the screen's own copy.
  • To stop showing Message only, select the clear button next to the chosen content.
