The CompleteVantage Android app has a small settings screen on the TV itself. You'll use it to connect to your dashboard, give the app extra permissions, or reset a screen. This article shows you how to open it and what each button does.

Open the settings screen

The Back button never leaves the app, so nobody can exit it by accident.

  1. Stand at the TV with the box's remote.
  2. Press Back five times within three seconds.
  3. The Connect to your dashboard screen opens.

To return to your content, press Back once, or select Connect.

If the app can't reach its server when it starts, the TV says Can't reach followed by the address, counts down to its next try, and reminds you: To change the server, press Back five times.

What's on it

Server address. The address the app connects to. It's the same address you use to sign in, for example https://signage.example.com. Change it and select Connect to move the screen to a different server.

Connect. Checks the address and goes back to playing.

Unpair this screen. Makes the app forget its pairing. Then select Connect, and it shows a new pairing code. Use it when you want to pair the box to a different organization, or start again. Remove the old screen in the dashboard too. See Screen settings.

Allow display power control. Lets CompleteVantage turn the display off outside its display hours. Android asks you to confirm. Only shown until you allow it. See Display hours.

Allow start on boot. Opens the Android setting that lets the app bring itself back after a restart. Only shown on Android 10 and later, until you allow it. See Start automatically after a power cut.

At the bottom you'll find the app version, the box's make and model, and its Android version. Useful when you contact support.
