CompleteVantage uses a handful of words everywhere. This page explains each one and how they connect.
Screens
A screen is one TV (or monitor) running the CompleteVantage player. Each screen has a name, a location, a timezone and an orientation. You link a screen to your account by pairing it with the six-character code it shows. See Pair a screen.
Groups
A group is a set of screens, usually by site or purpose, like London or Meeting rooms. You can give a group default content and display hours, and every screen in it follows them unless it has its own. Groups can sit inside other groups. See Groups.
Media
Media is anything you can show: images, videos, PDFs, PowerPoint files, web pages and dashboards, YouTube videos, live streams and HTML snippets. Everything lives in your media library. See Upload images, video and documents.
Playlists
A playlist is a list of media and layouts that plays top to bottom, then loops. You choose how long each item shows, the transition between items, and whether to shuffle. See Create a playlist.
Layouts
A layout splits the screen into zones. Each zone shows media, a playlist or a widget. Widgets are live building blocks: text, a clock, the weather, a scrolling ticker, a countdown, a QR code, shapes, your logo, a menu or price list, and a calendar. See Layout designer basics.
Templates
A template is a ready-made layout in your brand, like a lobby welcome, a café menu or a meeting room board. Using a template makes a new layout you can change. You can also save your own layouts as templates. See The template library.
Brand kit
Your brand kit holds your logos, five colours and two fonts. Templates and layouts that use brand colours and fonts update on every screen when you change the brand. See Set up your brand.
Schedules
A schedule shows something different at set times, like a breakfast menu on weekdays from 06:30 to 10:30. Schedules run in each screen's own timezone, even when the screen is offline. See Create a schedule.
Broadcasts
A broadcast takes over screens straight away with an urgent message or content, for a set time or until you end it. It beats everything else. See Send a broadcast.
