A zone can show one item from your media library, or a playlist that rotates through several items. Other zones keep showing their own content at the same time.
You'll need: the editor role or higher.
Show a media item in a zone
- Open the layout in the designer and select the zone.
- Under Shows, choose Media. The content picker opens.
- Search or scroll, then select the item, for example "Harbour view".
The zone's tag on the canvas shows the item's name. To swap it later, select Change.
Show a playlist in a zone
- Select the zone.
- Under Shows, choose Playlist.
- Choose the playlist, for example "Lobby loop".
The playlist loops inside the zone with its own timings and transitions. This is the usual way to rotate content in the main area while the clock, weather and ticker stay put.
Fill a template's photo zones
Templates have placeholder zones called Photo (or similar). They're striped in previews and blank on screens. Select each one, choose Media, and pick an image or video. See Use a template.
Good to know
- Items still processing, such as a presentation being converted, show "still processing" in the picker and can't be chosen yet.
- With approvals on, items waiting for approval are marked "Waiting for approval". You can choose them, but screens don't show them until they're approved.
- How an image fits the zone (fill, fit or stretch) is set on the media item itself. See Image and video settings.
- If a zone shows Media or Playlist but nothing is chosen, it says "No media chosen yet" and screens show nothing there.
